Nanyang Huangjiu (Nanyang Yellow Wine) is a treasured ancient fermented grain wine, hailed as the representative of northern Chinese Huangjiu and produced in Nanyang, Henan — a world-famous fine wine producing region in China, with a brewing heritage stretching back more than 2,000 years to the Han Dynasty.

Distinct from southern glutinous rice Huangjiu, our Nanyang Huangjiu is mainly brewed with locally-grown red millet (red wine grain), blended with glutinous rice, crystal mineral water from the Danjiang River basin and herbal wheat starter. Adhering to ancient brewing methods plus modern standardized production, it undergoes natural seasonal fermentation and long-term pottery jar aging, with no artificial flavors, colorants or additives.

The wine shows clear amber-brown color, well-balanced six flavours: sweet, sour, bitter, spicy, fresh and a subtle astringency. It delivers thick, soft grain aroma with mellow, lingering aftertaste. Alcohol content is mild, normally 10–14% ABV. Rich in 21 types of amino acids, polyphenols, flavonoids and active peptides, it is known as “liquid cake”. It can be enjoyed warm or chilled, served as a premium beverage for banquets, gifting, or used as a natural culinary seasoning and herbal medicinal primer in traditional Chinese wellness culture.
